This week we sent out our Save the Dates for our mountain wedding in September of 2017. Family members have already started receiving them in the mail, and this whole wedding thing is finally starting to feel real.
As a designer, doing all the print materials (invites, save the dates, menus, directions map, RSVPs, etc) for my own wedding is like a dream come true. I have complete creative control over our color palette, design elements, the theme and absoluetely no client to check in with who sends me back to the drawing board, asking me to change the font to Comic Sans.
Our wedding takes place in both New Hampshire and Maine, the "White Mountains" to be more specific - thus our mountains/woods/camping theme you see displayed in these Save the Dates.
The front of the Save the Dates feature self portraits of us (illustrated by me) and our date for a quick and adorable way of reminding our guests who we are and when it is. On the flip side lies a few extra details, which guests can also chose to display if they happen to like it better.
Every envelope was done via my Silhouette Cameo and their Sketch Pens, because who doesn't like a machine writing every single address for 100 guests for you!? I included the mountain icon element, which has carried over to other pieces of our invitation suite, for a little extra flair and consistency with the theme.
Overall I am absoluetely obsessed with these and even put one on our own fridge, since my fiance may or may not still not know the date we're getting married.
